The Largest Rooftop Solar Power Plant Built in Armenia

Another significant step in the development of renewable energy in Armenia was taken on the rooftop of Dustr Marianna LLC, where Eco Step installed the largest rooftop solar power plant in the country. This project is a major achievement not only for the company but also for the solar energy sector, highlighting the potential of renewable energy in Armenia.

Eco Step is one of the leading companies in the Armenian market, specializing in solar energy projects and offering cutting-edge technological solutions for industrial and commercial facilities.

Technical Specifications of the Solar Power Plant

As part of the project, 3,800 Amerisolar solar panels, each with a capacity of 670 W and based on TOPCON technology, were installed.   

The solar inverters were supplied by Sofar Solar, ensuring high efficiency and reliability. A total of 25 SOFAR 100000TL model inverters with a capacity of 100 kW each were installed.

Innovative Approach in Construction

During the installation, custom aluminum components were used, which had not been previously applied in Armenia. These elements ensure stability, durability, and maximum efficiency.

Financing and Savings

The project was financed by InecoBank under special preferential conditions, allowing Dustr Marianna LLC to implement the solar energy system without a significant financial burden.

The annual energy production of the solar power plant is 3.339 GWh, equivalent to saving over 170 million AMD in annual utility costs for the company.

Regulatory Approvals and Licenses

As a company implementing a project exceeding 150 kW of peak power, Dustr Marianna LLC, with the mediation and resources of Eco Step, has obtained all necessary licenses from the Public Services Regulatory Commission. Additionally, all required permits from Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) have been secured.

The introduction of Armenia’s largest rooftop solar power plant is not only a crucial step for Dustr Marianna LLC but also a vivid example of how businesses and financial institutions can collaborate to promote renewable energy in Armenia.
